Danielle Nicholson, APRN, MSN, FNP-C, CARN first joined the team at Lakeview Health in 2002 as an LPN and soon became a registered nurse before transitioning into various leadership and education roles within the company. After realizing that her passion was working with patients, she became a family nurse practitioner in 2019. She is also a certified addiction registered nurse who has worked to deepen her understanding of this disease and its treatment. Her role is to provide continuity of care, treating patients from their initial physical exam through discharge. By consistently following the same patients throughout their stay she provides a personalized medical experience, addressing specific detox needs as well as acute and chronic medical conditions. As the medical provider for our outpatient program, she also treats select patients as they transition from the inpatient setting to their new sober lives at home.
Danielle graduated from South University in Savannah, Georgia with a master’s of science in nursing and is certified in family practice. Having worked in this field for 19 years she feels that the treatment of addiction is more than a career for her, but a calling to help those suffering from this disease to find their way to recovery. When not working, Danielle enjoys spending time with her husband and children, travelling, reading, and creating art.
