Lakeview Health Steps Up Philanthropic Efforts in Recovery Month

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (October 01, 2018) – Lakeview Health, a nationally recognized addiction treatment facility, joined organizations around the world in celebrating Recovery Month in September. Every year, Lakeview Health staff donate to an internal campaign raising funds for local recovery high schools. This year, the company will be matching employee donations. “Giving back and being of service to others are instilled values in our company culture, and our patients are taught the importance of community service through working the 12 Step program,” said Robert J. Bunker, Lakeview Health’s president and chief executive officer. “We want to maximize the impact of our employees’ efforts to support their local recovery community, so it is fitting to match this year’s donation.” River Oak Center, a Jacksonville-based 501(c) (3) organization, is this year’s beneficiary. Established in 2014, the school offers students ages 14 to 19 a quality education and opportunity to develop by integrating the principles of recovery into their curriculum. Their objective is to support a safe and sober learning atmosphere for students to build a strong foundation and continue a life of sobriety into adulthood, including providing guidance for students seeking collegiate sobriety programs. About Lakeview Health Founded in 2001, Lakeview Health serves individuals with addiction and psychiatric disorders. The company takes an integrative health approach that addresses the medical, psychological, physical and spiritual aspects of recovery.
