Sarah received her bachelor’s in Psychology from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and her master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Florida. She has been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida since 2014 and currently works as a Clinical Manager for the women’s treatment program at Lakeview Health. Prior to joining Lakeview in 2013, she worked for a non-profit outpatient program gaining experience with substance abuse and dual diagnosis clients and in the college counseling center at the University of North Florida developing her skills with trauma. In 2014, she completed Levels 1 and 2 of EMDR training and she went on to pursue certification in EMDR, which she obtained in 2016. She currently facilitates a gender-responsive trauma therapy group twice per week using Stephanie Covington’s Beyond Trauma curriculum.
