Sally Finn, Drug Free Duval Coalition Executive Director
Sally Finn is deeply engaged in the health and wellness of the community she calls home: Duval County, Florida. Having been actively involved in substance misuse strategies through her affiliation with Drug Free Duval since 2009, Sally has spearheaded the implementation of exciting and creative data-driven environmental strategies. As the Vice Chairman of the School Health Advisory Council for Duval County Public Schools, Sally helped identify tools and strategies to assist youth before they have encountered the justice system, and is a champion for prevention that results in change. Under Sally’s leadership, there are over 40 formalized partnerships cross-collateralizing the important efforts toward freedom from substance misuse for all. Sally brings a variety of skills to her work. Her background in human resources working with several companies from a national merchandiser to an international higher education organization has helped her identify and meet the needs of the people in Duval County, while her development knowledge lends great insight into sustainability. Sally is a graduate of Michigan State University. She has received numerous awards and acclimations recognizing her work, including the Sheriff’s Commendation for Contribution to Safety, University of North Florida’s Eta Sigma Betta Award for Contribution to Public Health. In addition, the Duval County SHAC, under Sally’s headship, was recognized by the Florida Department of Education as the top in the state. Sally is married and has three children, one grandson, and one granddaughter, who are the delight of her life.
