JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (May 12, 2015) – Lakeview Health announced today that Philip Hemphill, PhD., a nationally recognized substance use disorder clinician and researcher, is joining the staff of its expanding addiction treatment center as Chief Clinical Officer. “There is no better place than Lakeview Health in terms of its culture and commitment to furthering patient care,” Dr. Hemphill said. “When you see the outstanding staff that is constantly attracted to Lakeview, and the financial support that is pledged by its leadership, you naturally want to be part of that story.” Dr. Hemphill’s expertise includes trauma informed care, co-occurring disorders, and healthy boundaries which will allow clinicians to recognize the signs and symptoms of trauma in clients and families. These integrative and comprehensive approaches provide the highest standard of care available anywhere in the country and will develop into policies, procedures and treatment practices. Roy M. Dr. Hemphill has worked previously at Pine Grove Behavioral Health and Addiction Services in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and at River Oaks Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana. He is a consultant at Seaside Healthcare, LLC and an adjunct faculty member at LSU Health Services Center and at Tulane University, where he earned his doctorate.
