Melinda Dangerfield

Team: Clinical Team,
Position: Director of Nursing

Melinda Dangerfield has 11 years of nursing experience working in a multitude of specialties, including mental health, substance abuse, and forensic nursing. She started with Lakeview Health in May of 2021 and is the Director of Nursing, responsible for nursing care of Lakeview patients. Melinda’s goal is to provide excellent care for our patients and help them through one of the most challenging times in their lives with empathy and compassion.

Before her position at Lakeview Health, Melinda was the manager of medical services at the Clay County Sheriff’s Office. She was executive nursing director at North Florida Evaluation and Treatment Center, and she has also served as the regional program supervisor for DCF Adult Protective Services, working to ensure that vulnerable adults were protected from abuse, neglect, and exploitation. She has spent her career working to help some of the most vulnerable people among us.

Melinda obtained a Bachelor of Science in health science education from the University of Florida, a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Florida, and certification as a Certified Public Manager® from Florida State University.

In Melinda’s spare time, she enjoys hiking, boating, and horseback riding.
