Signs of Opioid Overdose & Narcan Administration Training

This event presentation is being offered both virtually via the Bluejeans platform and in-person at Lakeview Health in Jacksonville, FL.

*Please note: there are a limited number of in-person seats and registration will automatically close once we have reached that limit.

In this presentation, presenters Sally Finn and Susan Pittman with Drug Free Duval will provide an overview of data related to the scope of the opioid epidemic affecting individuals nationally, regionally, and locally. Participants will learn how to recognize signs and how to respond to an opioid overdose, including the use of Naloxone/Narcan. Participants will gain an understanding of Florida’s Overdose Prevention laws that protect those who use Naloxone/Narcan on a person experiencing an overdose.

Upon the conclusion of the course, all participants are asked to complete a post-test and evaluation in order to receive a certificate of completion. Participants attending in -person will be handed a Narcan kit following the event and all participants attending virtually with be mailed a Narcan kit from Drug Free Duval.
