An Interview with Robert Walters & Paul McWilliams

Fact: Almost every member of the Intake Services Team at Lakeview Health is in recovery and sober. That means, when a person struggling with addiction calls our drug and alcohol rehab, the person who answers on the other line has an understanding based on mutual experience. Like the person calling in, they too have experienced something that made them think long and hard about the decision to quit drinking or drug use and to start living life on life’s terms. The intake team at Lakeview Health are ultra compassionate – they have heard it all and they are here to help. Leading the helm of the Lakeview Health Intake Services Team is Robert Walters, VP of Intake Services. Recently, Robert and Intake Services Specialst, Paul McWilliams, sat down to share some insight into the responsibility of the Intake Services Team – answering calls, facilitating potential patients, allocating resources and ultimately, finding a way for that person to get the help. Often, families will call our Intake Services Team with a family member who is ready for treatment, and folks like Robert and Paul offer the tender support and care that is necessary in navigating those situations. Watch the video below to find out more about who is on the other line on these calls, and what (and who) needs to come together to make recovery possible.
